A Poem I Wrote - Until We Part

No places to hide
he holds his torch and scans
the world renewed
under this change of guards
looks much the same
and feels the same as well
yet feels too awry
bitter and vomitlike
eyes like calendar crosses
that grow with every longing day
until they're all that remain
in sculpted remembrance
the clock unflinched
the final reminder
unheard
