Blog Schedules
Blogging is often a spontaneous exercise - you think of an idea (yes of course, marmalade is better than jam) and decide to advertise it to the rest of the world. Sometimes you'll have many of these ideas (maybe mayonnaise is better?) and as such you end up with a long list of blogposts.
Maybe they're not spontaneous, though, and you space them out. Every day? Every week? Every thoughtful flutter? But maybe you write a lot. I fall victim in two categories - the "every flutter" and "every so often" ones.
The best parts about "every flutter":
- often consisting of your immediate thoughts on a topic, thus illustrating you very well
- keeps your audience engaged
- means you're more likely to be noticed
The best parts about "every so often":
- the posts can end up being more thoughtful and carefully written
- the posts keep people wanting more, like a serialised TV show
- the "flutters" can be merged into a concise idea
How do you structure your ideas, I ask you. comments
